The University of Delaware Graduate College invites all UD graduate students and postdocs to submit proposals for participation in the next Spark! Symposium by July 30.

Five presenters will be selected to give a 10-minute talk about their research on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at the Audion on UD’s Science, Technology and Advanced Research (STAR) Campus from 4-7 p.m. The theme for this fall’s symposium is “Mobility: From Atoms to Ideas.” Each proposal should address how this theme resonates with the applicant's research.

Spark! symposia are hosted biannually by the Graduate College to support UD graduate students and postdocs in developing cross-disciplinary communication skills. With help from expert coaches, Spark! presenters gain confidence in public speaking while learning strategies for communicating their research to diverse audiences through short-form, engaging presentations and audience participation.
