Free vaccine clinic set Nov. 4 at Pencader Dining Hall

Johnson & Johnson vaccine available for unvaccinated persons and those seeking booster shot

A free Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccination clinic for University of Delaware faculty, staff and students will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, in Room 106 of the Pencader Dining Hall, 110 David Hollowell Drive, on the Laird Campus in Newark. There is a limited number of Jansen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccines, so early sign-up is recommended.

This event is open to unvaccinated individuals seeking the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, as well as vaccinated individuals seeking their boosters for Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson.

Booster shots are available for those who have previously received their Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, who are six months past their second dose and who meet the CDC requirements. It is recommended that individuals who received the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine at least two months ago and who are 18 years of age or older should receive a booster shot of Janssen (Johnson and Johnson) vaccine.

For those seeking a booster to their Pfizer, Moderna or Jansen (Johnson & Johnson) shot, sign up at  https://kordinator.mhealthcoach.net/vcl/UDelBooster.

Those signing up to receive the COVID-19 vaccination at this event may also receive a flu shot while there. As long as the person is signed up to receive the vaccine, they are automatically entitled to a receive a flu shot. In order to receive the flu shot, you must bring your insurance card.

Sign up here for a flu shot if you are not scheduled for a vaccine appointment. If you are registered for a vaccine, you will automatically be entitled to a flu shot if you would like one.

Those participating do not have to fast prior to receiving the vaccine and are encouraged to drink fluids.

Parking for this Nov. 4 event is complimentary in Clayton Hall Lot No. 7; this does not include metered parking spaces.
