Wayne Guthrie has stepped down as vice president for human resources at the University of Delaware, effective immediately.

Jared Aupperle, director of talent solutions and recruitment, will serve as interim vice president while a search for the next vice president is conducted.

The vice president for human resources is charged with leading a strategic, customer-service-oriented operation to advance functional and operational excellence at the University.

Aupperle, who has worked in human resources at the University of Delaware since 2007, earned his bachelor’s degree in organizational and community leadership at UD. He is a certified Predictive Index analyst and a certified facilitator with Development Dimensions International.

Guthrie has served as vice president since December 2018.
