Campus Connect Gatekeeper Training on June 28
The Center for Counseling and Student Development is hosting an exclusive suicide prevention training for University of Delaware faculty and staff on Friday, June 28. The Campus Connect Gatekeeper Training is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon in room 302 of the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering (ISE) Lab. The training is available at no cost to all faculty and staff; however, advance registration is requested.
Throughout this session, participants will learn to recognize various signs of student distress and signals of suicidality. Interactive sessions and case scenarios will enable attendees to familiarize themselves with de-escalation techniques and to build confidence in holding conversations with students about their concerns.
Online registration is open for this event until June 21. Any questions about the training may be directed to Kelsey Chambers at kchamber@udel.edu or 302-831-2141.
