State Police on campus July 29

Bomb squad unit to give presentation to New Arc Academy summer camp

Members of the University of Delaware community who see the Delaware State Police bomb squad unit on campus on Monday, July 29, need not be worried. The police will be at UD as part of the New Arc Academy summer camp, being held on campus from July 22-Aug. 2.

During that morning from approximately 9-11:30 a.m., the State Police bomb squad unit will be giving a presentation to summer camp students in and around the Willard Hall Education Building on West Main Street. The squad’s truck will be parked outside the building, and the unit’s robot and dogs will be participating.

Hosted by the Office of Educational Technology in the College of Education and Human Development, the New Arc Academy gives budding scientists and engineers in grades four through seven the opportunity to explore the world of forensic science.
