YoUDee, the University of Delaware’s award-winning mascot, is in competition once more, this time as a promotion for the healthy effects of exercise.

UD Recreation Services, in conjunction with Employee Health and Wellbeing and Student Health Services, is participating in Exercise Is Medicine, a global health initiative through the American College of Sports Medicine.

UD was recently selected as a campus initiative partner through the Exercise Is Medicine on Campus program, which calls on universities and colleges to become engaged in the promotion of physical activity as a vital sign of health.

As part of the program's mascot video challenge, YoUDee and Baby Blue are featured in a new UD video working out on campus and demonstrating the value of exercise. The school whose video attracts the most thumbs up, or likes, will win the title of fan favorite.

Voting is open until noon, Friday, Oct. 19.
