Victor Strecher to present ‘Make Your Own Luck: Leading a Purpose Driven Life’
The University of Delaware welcomes keynote speaker Victor Strecher on Wednesday, March 14 to discuss “Make Your Own Luck: Leading a Purpose Driven Life.” The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Mitchell Hall (134 The Green, Newark, DE 19716). The topic focuses on the role that finding and having purpose has in living healthy and well. Strecher will demonstrate through science how life purpose connects to health.
This event is free and open to the UD community and general public. Please register in advance. UD students and employees should bring their UDID. The first 200 to register for the event will receive a prize.
It is part of the “Blue Hens Go Green for St. Patrick’s Day” initiative, which is organized by the UD Campus Wellbeing Collaborative. See the full slate of events.
About Victor Strecher
Strecher has been a professor in the University of Michigan School of Public Health since 1995. He founded the Center for Health Communications. Strecher founded HealthMedia Inc. Currently, as Director for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship, he is helping Michigan disseminate research, improving the public’s health nationally and globally.
