Undergraduate Research Program accepting Summer Scholars applications
Applications are now open for the Summer Scholars Program, offered through the University of Delaware's Undergraduate Research Program (UGRP).
Students can apply for 10-weeks of full-time summer research with a UD faculty mentor.
Students receive $3,500, participate in summer programming, and present their research at a final symposium. Faculty receive $500.
Students can develop their own research project, or work with faculty projects.

For students who do not want to do full-time research, UGRP also offers a Summer Fellows program.
“Summer research offers UD students a valuable opportunity to get in-depth experience working in a lab, archive, or in the field; to develop close working relationships with faculty mentors; and to learn how to synthesize research for public presentation,” said Kristen Poole, professor of English Renaissance literature and culture and interim director of the Undergraduate Research Program. “Last year’s final symposium had more than 800 attendees. Students from all areas (sciences, arts and humanities and social sciences) are encouraged to apply.”
