Ted Merwin, author of the book Pastrami on Rye: An Overstuff History of the Jewish Deli, will present a guest lecture at 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 26, in 127 Memorial Hall on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.

The lecture, part of the course Jews and Food (HIST/JWST327) taught by Roger Horowitz, is free and open to the public.

Merwin is a noted professor, blogger and journalist and one of the foremost authorities on Judaism in America. The book is the winner of the 2015 National Jewish Book Award from the Jewish Book Council.
