Dining Services announces campaign to collect winter clothing for Salvation Army
For those cleaning out their wardrobes in anticipation of the chilly winter months, there’s a new opportunity to share unneeded garments and make a difference in someone else’s life.
University of Delaware Dining Services has announced its first UDonate Winter Clothing Drive, starting on Wednesday, Oct. 5, and ending Friday, Oct. 14. All collected clothing will go directly to the Salvation Army in Wilmington, Delaware.
During this drive, Salvation Army bins will be available in all three dining halls, as well as the Trabant University Center and the Perkins Student Center.
Since the clothing drive runs through Parents and Family Weekend, families are welcome to bring winter jackets, sweaters and pants from home. Although winter clothing is particularly encouraged, any clean clothing will be accepted.
