Improving Health Care Processes course offered in Lewes
For the second summer, the University of Delaware is offering a four-day professional development course focusing on process improvement tools customized for health care settings. Improving Health Care Processes will take place Aug. 2-5 at UD’s Virden Center in Lewes.
Aimed at an audience of health care leaders and quality improvement team members, this four-day intensive boot-camp style program highlights the tools and techniques of process improvement to increase patient satisfaction and safety, reduce cost and increase capacity in health care organizations and facilities. Key topics include process mapping and analysis, process and quality improvement and change management.
The program has been well received by team leaders and facility managers in health care organizations, citing the program’s focus on real-world examples and case studies taken from health care settings.
This program will be applicable to health care organizations such as hospitals, physician clinics, urgent care centers, radiology centers and public health organizations. Those who will benefit include nurses, physicians and administrators; health care facility or lab managers; quality managers, directors and team members; patient safety leaders; and directors of surgery, radiology or outpatient services.
UD students and alumni receive a 15 percent discount when enrolling in this program. Other discounts are available, such as group discounts for two or more individuals registering from the same organization, and an earlybird discount through June 15.
