This year’s University of Delaware Parents and Family Weekend will be held Oct. 13-15. The Division of Student Life invites all UD colleges and departments planning to host family-friendly events on those days to submit an event publication form to have their event details published on the Parents and Family Weekend website.

Event forms may be submitted through Oct. 12, and departments interested in having their events published for the start of New Student Orientation sessions should submit their forms by June 1.

Each year, a wide range of exciting events are held for students and families, and 96 percent of respondents to the 2016 Parents and Family Weekend survey said they would recommend the festivities to others. Survey respondents also said that they are interested in more:

• Interactive family events;

• College-hosted open houses and tours; and

• Opportunities to meet faculty, advisers, staff and administrators.
