Therapy Approach
My theoretical point of view in therapy is that of a constructive and cognitive behavioral approach. I believe the focus should be on solutions and the future. I also subscribe to the principle that it is important to recognize that it's not what a person has experienced that causes them distress, but more their perception of those experiences.
Supervision Approach
I approach supervision of trainees with a development lens. This involves accurately identifying the trainee's current stage and providing feedback and support appropriate to that developmental stage, while at the same time facilitating the supervisee's progression to the next stage.
