Researchers at the University of Delaware are conducting research for healthy individuals ages 18 to 45 to learn the impact of dietary salt and fructose on blood pressure and inflammation.


The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of dietary salt and fructose on blood pressure and inflammation.


Interested individuals in the age range can fill out the interest form and will be contacted by the lab to set up an initial health screening at the University of Delaware to see if they are qualified to participate.

Study Details

  • Receive up to $300
  • Receive the results from a standard physical exam
  • Help UD researchers understand how dietary salt and fructose impact blood pressure and inflammation

  • Free parking for all study visits

  • Be willing to undergo 3 different diets for 7 days each
  • Blood work and blood vessel testing at Star Campus
  • 8 study visits at the University of Delaware and take place over approximately 3 months
  • Wearing a blood pressure monitor for 24 hours before 3 of the visits

You may be eligible to participate if you…

  • Are a healthy individual age 18 to 45

  • Have a normal body weight and blood pressure.

  • Are a non-smoker in reasonably good health.
  • Can attend visits at the University of Delaware
