Tuition Exchange Program

Faculty and staff applications will open on Aug. 20, 2025

The Tuition Exchange Program (TEP) is a reciprocal scholarship opportunity for dependents of eligible faculty and staff at over 710 member schools nationwide, including the University of Delaware. Scholarships are awarded through a competitive review process that considers academic standing.

If awarded, the scholarship covers full or partial tuition for a full-time undergraduate dependent for up to four years. Acceptance to a participating school does not guarantee a scholarship.

Eligibility

UD employees must be full-time with at least two years of eligible service by Oct. 31 of the application year. Eligible retirees may also participate. TEP may be used with UD’s Tuition Remission program and counts toward its two-request maximum.

How to apply

  • Log into Web Forms
  • Select “BEN Education Benefits”
  • Choose “Tuition Exchange Program”
  • Enter at least one participating school

Lottery

A scholarship lottery will be held on Oct. 31, 2025, at 12:15 p.m. in Training Room 211, HR, 2nd floor, STAR Campus (550 South College Ave). Submit your TEP web form by Oct. 28 to be included. Attendance is optional.
