Short-term courses offer professional development opportunities in healthcare
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the healthcare industry is projected to add more jobs than any other industry in the next decade, and it continues to be among the fastest-growing industries in the economy.
To assist healthcare employers in meeting this growing demand for knowledgeable employees, the University of Delaware’s Division of Professional and Continuing Studies (UD PCS) offers a variety of short-term programs that provide practicing or future healthcare professionals with practical knowledge and skills as well as resume-building credentials.
Most programs offer a discount to UD students or UD alumni, military veterans and service members, or a group discount for two or more individuals from one organization. Several program-specific scholarship opportunities and payment plans are available.
Offered on UD’s Newark campus or online, these healthcare-focused programs from UD PCS leverage instructors that combine strong academic backgrounds with extensive real-world experience:
• Advanced Telehealth Coordinator – starts Feb. 4 (15-week online course)
• Clinical Sleep Health and Education – starts Feb. 25 (7-week online course)
• Clinical Trials Management – starts Feb. 18 (14-week online course)
• Healthcare Risk Management – starts Feb. 11 (10-week online course)
• Medical Aspects of Sports – Saturday, March 2 (1-day conference, Newark)
• Nursing Home Administration Regulations – starts Feb. 25 (6-week course, Newark)
• RN Refresher – starts Feb. 6 (15-week online course)
