Researchers and student asked to try Trial E-Resources

The e-resources available through the University of Delaware’s Library, Museums and Press assist faculty and students in their research and teaching needs. In order to ensure the library provides the most effective databases, the library would like feedback from those groups on whether the databases support their needs for specific projects, programs and courses.

The library currently has six trial databases underway. Feedback on the usefulness of any of these databases is vital to helping determine which products are purchased. Feedback is welcome from everyone.

Here are the databases in trial phase in need of feedback:

  • PsycTESTS - This database provides information on tests that originated in the journals currently covered in the PsycINFO database. In some cases, the full test or a document with a selection of test items is available to download. On trial until May 23, 2018.
  • Literary Print Culture: The Stationers’ Company Archive, 1554-2007 - The Stationers’ Company was a key agent in how the book trade was regulated and monitored. This collection of primary source documents is regarded as one of the most important sources for studying the history of the book, publishing history, the history of copyright and the works of an early London Livery Company. On trial until May 31, 2018.
  • Sabin Americana, 1500-1926 - Using online books, pamphlets, serials and other works about the Americas, this database provides a firsthand account of history through the discovery of the Americas to the early 1900s. It encompasses North, Central and South Americas, and the Caribbean. On trial until May 31, 2018.
  • The Making of the Modern World: Part III, 1890-1945 - Consisting exclusively of material in the Goldsmiths’ Library of Economic Literature, this database will appeal to researchers interested in the political economy of the early 20th century, including political science, philosophy, business and economic law, and women’s studies. The Library already owns Parts I and II. On trial until May 31, 2018.
  • Women’s Studies Archive: Women’s Issues and Identities - The first collection within the Women’s Studies Archive traces the path of women’s issues from past to present via manuscripts, newspapers, periodicals and more. On trial until May 31, 2018.
  • LearnTechLib - Formerly EdITLib — Education & Information Technology Library — this database provides access to peer-reviewed research on the latest developments and applications in learning and technology. It includes articles, e-books, videos, webinars and more. On trial until July 3, 2018.
