Areas of Expertise
- Expertise in climatology, meteorology and storms, sea-level rise and climate change, tides and coastal flooding, remote sensing, GIS, geospatial and time series statistics.
- Research projects include storm surge from tropical and extra-tropical cyclones in the Delaware and Chesapeake Bays; dendrochronology of Atlantic White Cedar trees; habitat identification of Delmarva Fox Squirrel; atmospheric water vapor over the Amazon Rainforest from satellites; and development of coastal flood early warning system.
- Serves on the Delaware River Basin Commission Advisory Committee on Climate Change.
- Lead author of Recommendations of Sea-Level Rise Planning Scenarios for Delaware: Technical Report.
