- Member of the EPA's Scientific Advisory Board's environmental economics committee.
- Examines environmental and natural resource management issues through the lens of applied welfare economics and cost-benefit analysis. His work includes damage assessment. Current projects include economic valuation studies of wind farms, electric vehicles, shorebirds (such as seagulls) and beach use.
