Areas of Expertise
- Specializes in polls, public opinions and political psychology (the beliefs and attitudes held by different groups).
- Research focuses on how individuals use information about race, gender and social groups to formulate the opinions they express. Wilson's inquiries include: public opinions of African Americans, public opinions toward African American political figures, the ways race is expressed in social conversations and measuring different racial attitudes.
- Previously worked for the Gallup organization as a senior statistical consultant.
- Can discuss public opinion polling, survey research methodology (the science behind surveys), as well as American politics and government.
