Gerald Kauffman, interim director of the University of Delaware water science and policy graduate program, and Megan Wassil, water science and policy doctoral student, presented "The Water Science and Policy Implications of PFAS in Delaware Drinking Water Streams" at a brown bag seminar in Penny Hall, which was hosted by the water science and policy program.

On behalf of the UD Water Resources Center, Kauffman and Wassil completed initial sampling of Delaware drinking water streams for the presence of PFAS in 2021. Since then, the Water Resources Center has continued to sample the streams and investigate the impacts these compounds have on the state of Delaware and its drinking water.
