Institutional
Compliance

The Office of Institutional Compliance works with University of Delaware Colleges and Administrative Units to support compliance with University Policy and the legal and regulatory framework governing the University's operation. The Office of Institutional Compliance upholds these standards within the University community by:

• Assisting units in identifying and fulfilling compliance obligations, including providing technical assistance.
• Serving as a resource for University units developing department-level compliance programs and training materials for faculty, staff, and students.
• Facilitating the process for reviewing and updating policies in the University of Delaware Administrative Policy Manual, as described in the University’s Policy on Policies.
• Acting as a point of contact for members of the University community with questions or concerns about ethics and compliance issues.
• Receiving and investigating reports of ethics and compliance violations made through the University of Delaware’s EthicsPoint portal and hotline. (Reports may be made anonymously.)

Through this work, the Office of Institutional Compliance promotes a culture of honesty and ethical behavior that supports the University's strategic goals on its path to preeminence.
