Attending the 25th International Worm Meeting (Worm 2025) was a memorable and inspiring experience. As a graduate student, I had the unique opportunity to present my research on “Defining the Impact of Superoxide Dismutase on Extracellular Vesicle Biogenesis and Cargo Sorting.” This conference was the perfect venue to share my work and receive thoughtful feedback from leading experts in the field. These insights are already helping me to plan the next steps in my project. The meeting brought together an incredibly vibrant and passionate community of students, postdoctoral researchers, and principal investigators from across the world, each presenting their innovative research on the field of molecular biology, cell biology, neurobiology and many others using the model system Caenorhabditis elegans (Worm). Not only did I have the chance to discuss my work in depth, but I also discovered exciting advances in areas closely connected to my project. For instance, I learned about new developments in a genetic sensor that I have been planning to incorporate into my own experiments. These interactions also allowed me to connect with researchers specializing in extracellular vesicles, which is the field I am currently working on. These connections would undoubtedly be of great help in the future as a fellow scientist in the same field. I am truly grateful to the Graduate College for supporting my participation in the conference and providing me with this amazing experience.
