Attending the Opus 74-Flaine Music Festival was an amazing experience that has helped me refresh for continuing my studies at UD. Having the opportunity to spend two intensive weeks of daily lessons with my main violin teacher helped us to understand each other even more and set a clear structure and goals for my second year as a master's student. Needing to improve daily and working in plenty of music simultaneously got me in a headspace that I wish to reply consistently during the semester.
I was able to perform in the student recital held on the last day of the festival, along with the festival's director, pianist Bertrand Giraud; as well as playing at a masterclass for one of the other violin teachers, Louis Pantillon. This place was also a good opportunity to make connections for possible DMA applications for next year.
Adding to that, the beautiful landscapes that the festival offered were also a great source of inspiration. Spending time there, alone and while meeting other focused amazing fellow musicians, was perfect to balance the high-performance schedule. It was overall a refreshing experience that will help me finish my studies at UD in the best way possible.
