About this program

The Ph.D. program in molecular biosciences provides advanced training to students seeking research-based careers. Areas of in-depth research include clinically related fields such as diabetes mellitus and other chronic health conditions, cancer, human papillomavirus virus and infectious disease, biotherapeutics, protein structural biology and X-ray crystallography. The programmatic emphasis is on the pathogenesis of disease, biomarkers that can aid in diagnosis and treatment, evidence-based practice and the underlying mechanisms of chronic illness.

All or nearly all doctoral students receive a stipend and full tuition scholarship.
