epidemiology Methods: Certificate
About this program
The Department of Epidemiology offers a 12-credit epidemiology methods certificate intended to support individuals who seek additional training in epidemiologic methods and the applied skills needed to study the determinants and distribution of a broad range of health problems. The certificate provides students with foundational and advanced knowledge of epidemiological research methods and biostatistics.
The epidemiology methods certificate is specifically designed for working professionals, as an addition to another graduate degree program or for those interested in exploring the field of epidemiology prior to committing to a graduate degree program, and can be completed in one year of part-time study. All certificate courses have been specially designed and developed for delivery online. Students will be able to register, receive materials, interact with faculty and successfully complete this program without traveling to campus.
The Department of Epidemiology also offers a nine-credit applied epidemiology certificate.
Note: For students who choose to pursue further study in epidemiology at UD, all credits earned in either certificate may be applied toward the M.S. in epidemiology or MPH in epidemiology degrees.
