About this Program
The applied human anatomy M.S. program offers foundational coursework in gross anatomy, histology, embryology and neuroanatomy. The curriculum is tailored for students seeking a deeper understanding of anatomy, with applications across educational, healthcare and research fields. By focusing on practical and clinically relevant anatomy, the program prepares graduates to be competitive applicants for careers in anatomy education and health profession programs (e.g. medical school).
The Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology also offers a unique 4+1 B.S./M.S. program that allows students to complete both the bachelor of science degree in human physiology and the master of science degree in applied human anatomy in a total of five years of full-time study.
