Final Exams Fall 2026

Final Exams Fall 2026

Finals Week: Thursday, December 10 through Monday, December 14

The Test Accommodation Center (TAC) will be open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day during finals week, including Saturday and Sunday.

Exam sign-up deadline: Tuesday, December 1 at 11:59 p.m.

If you plan to take your final exams at the TAC, you must sign up by the deadline. Requests submitted after Dec. 1 will likely not be approved because of:

  • The high volume of exams
  • Limited seating
  • The ability to obtain exams from professors

We strongly recommend scheduling your final exams as early as possible. Please check your course syllabus.

During finals week, additional seats in classrooms or conference rooms may be used as necessary. Because these rooms do not have cameras, an in-person proctor will be assigned to each location.

Important Considerations

  • Contact the TAC in advance if your exam requires specialized software.
  • Bring all printed materials needed for your exam. DSS is unable to print them for you.
  • Arrive at DSS 15 minutes before your scheduled exam time. Staff will direct you to your testing location.
  • Confirm you have enough time to receive your accommodated exam time when scheduling your exams. Exams must be completed by 5:30 p.m.
  • Obtain written permission from your professor if you need to take an exam at a time other than the scheduled class time.
  • If you arrive more than 15 minutes past your scheduled exam time, you must contact your professor and obtain written permission to begin the exam late.

Scheduling Your Final Exams in the Portal

When submitting an exam request, complete these steps:

  1. Select your accommodations. Check the boxes for all accommodations you need as applicable, such as Kurzweil or large print.
  2. Add comments as needed. Include any explanations, reasons for changes, permissions from faculty and other relevant information in the comments section of the exam request form.
  3. Confirm your submission. Look for a green circle with a white check mark at the top of the page for each exam request. If you don't see this confirmation, it indicates there are additional steps to complete or your sign-up wasn't successful.
  4. Check your request status. In the Portal, go to Test Accommodations > All Exam Requests to review the status of your exam sign-up.
