Standard spring move in for all students will take place between 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 1. Students will check in directly at the residence halls.
Students looking to come to campus earlier can request to check in to their room early on either Thursday, January 29 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. or Friday, January 30 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. for a fee. To request an early check in, complete the Early Arrival Spring 2026 application in the My Housing Portal by Monday, January 26 at 5 p.m.

Students new to the university in the spring or students who don’t already live on campus in the fall can apply to move into the residence halls for the Spring semester. Newly admitted spring freshmen and first year World Scholars returning from study abroad are required to live on campus in the spring and must complete either an application or an exemption request. New transfer students admitted as freshmen (FT) are guaranteed housing if they apply but aren't required to live on campus. All other interested students, including transfers not admitted as a freshman, not already living on campus in the fall can apply for consideration and will be offered a space pending availability.
The housing application opens in the My Housing Portal in early November with a priority deadline of December 11 at 5 p.m. Learn more about spring housing in the Application Guide.
The returning student housing application for the 2026-2027 academic year is expected to open in the first week of the Spring 2026 semester. While housing is not automatically guranteed for returning students, we hope to be able to house all students who apply by the posted deadline. Additional information about the application and assignment process will be posted to our website closer to that time, but basic questions about returning student housing can be found on our Current Students page.
