Graduate Student Housing

Welcome to the University of Delaware!

We have a limited range of graduate housing options available for new, incoming graduate students. University graduate housing is offered for one year only and is mostly located in leased properties in Newark.

Individual graduate students can begin to apply for graduate housing via the My Housing Portal link below. Housing is limited and is not guaranteed. There is no fee to apply for housing.

Graduate students seeking family housing for themselves and their family members (i.e. spouse, partner, child, etc.) must complete this Graduate Family Housing Interest Form. This is not a housing application but will provide us with information needed to connect you with our property management team.

Students are encouraged to protect themselves from loss by purchasing appropriate insurance, as students are not covered under the University’s property and fire insurance policy. Students should review any homeowner's insurance policy the student or their family might have to determine whether contents of the student's University housing are or could be covered. When considering purchasing additional insurance, keep in mind the replacement cost of items such as computers, instruments, clothes, electronics, books and sporting equipment. For more information on damage to personal property, refer to UD's Office of Risk Management.

Students are not obligated to have these service installed and can use an alternative, such as a personal wifi hotspot.

Students looking to have cable or internet installed must contract with Verizon, as this is the only service provider that can be installed in the building. Request this service via their website or telephone at 1-800-VERIZON.

Cable/internet service does not need to set up prior to move-in. Do not schedule installation until you have received your apartment keys. Installation must be scheduled during business hours (Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.) and a tenant must provide technicians access to the apartment.
