Service Opportunities

Service Saturdays

Join us for our monthly service projects! These community service experiences introduce students to partners and organizations around Delaware. Plus, they are free to participate in and transportation is provided. Previous service projects include: assembling holiday packages to send to overseas soldiers, cleaning up the community and helping out at an animal shelter.

Sign up for our weekly newsletter or check us out on Student Central to see upcoming service opportunities.

Big Day of Service

The Big Day of Service is an opportunity for students to serve others while learning how local organizations are making a difference and improving the community. A variety of service options will be offered on the first Saturday of May so everyone has a chance to do something that interests them.

University of Delaware Alternative Breaks (UDAB)

UDAB’s mission, as an alternative breaks program, is to create a variety of issue-based service learning experiences. Our programs are available to undergraduate and graduate students of all backgrounds and incomes during spring and winter breaks. We strive to be accessible to all undergraduate university students as both a facilitator of these break programs and as an advisor for other student groups that would like to plan, participate in and reflect on service. This is a fee based program for which there are grants for students with financial need.
