Biography
Mark Gockenbach is professor and chair of the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Delaware. His research focuses on numerical analysis, particularly inverse problems, and his teaching interests span calculus, linear algebra, differential equations and numerical methods. Gockenbach joined UD in 2020 after 21 years at Michigan Technological University, where he served as department chair for 14 years.
