Beth Singewald
Biography
Beth (She/her) joined the Chemistry and Biochemistry department at University of Delaware in 2023. As an assistant professor, she primarily teaches foundational General Chemistry courses to non-chemistry majors and engineering students in the CBC department. At WUDPAC she is responsible for teaching the first-year science class. Prior to joining UD, she taught General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at Rowan University and Neumann University for 12 years.
Teaching is Beth's second career. After attending the University of Richmond, graduating with a B. S. in chemistry and earning her Ph. D. from Northwestern University in Inorganic Chemistry, she joined the Dupont Company in Central Research. That position led her to work in the Lycra® Textile Fibers business for a total of 10 years. While in the Lycra® business, she worked in End Use Research and product development of circular knits and in the patent group.
