My recent trip to Hong Kong and Korea was both rewarding and energizing, offering meaningful professional engagement and many valuable opportunities to connect with colleagues and partners across the region.
In Hong Kong, during the APAIE Conference 2026, I participated in discussions on global student mobility and cross-border collaboration with a wide range of international partners, including:
- Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași
- Btop Study Abroad
- CHA University
- Chungbuk National University
- HUTECH University of Technology
- Incheon National University
- ISCOM France
- Konkuk University
- Kyonggi University
- Osaka Gakuin University
- Sejong University
- Universidade Federal do Pará
- Universidad de Granada
- Universidade Federal Do Pará
- University of New York in Prague
And more.
The conference provided an excellent platform for networking and professional exchange, with sessions that were highly relevant to current trends in international education, partnership development and student mobility.
Following the conference, my visit to Korea enabled me to continue these conversations in a more focused, relational setting. It was especially meaningful to reconnect with familiar faces and meet prospective partners in person. I observed how Korean universities and organizations are actively strengthening their global engagement, positioning education as a key driver of innovation and competitiveness.
Across both locations, what stood out most was the shared commitment to building and sustaining relationships, fostering international collaboration and creating meaningful opportunities for students to connect across borders. This experience reinforced the importance of long-term partnerships that support student success and global readiness.
