Welcome to Interdisciplinary Science Learning Laboratories (ISLL)
The Interdisciplinary Science Learning Laboratories (ISLL) at the University of Delaware represent a cutting-edge approach to science education and research. Housed within the Patrick T. Harker Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Laboratory (ISE Lab), this 194,000-square-foot facility embodies the university's commitment to integrated teaching, learning, and research.
Completed in 2013, the ISE Lab was designed to foster collaboration and innovation across various scientific disciplines, engaging students and faculty in a dynamic, problem-based learning environment. The facility features state-of-the-art classrooms, advanced research laboratories, and flexible spaces that promote interdisciplinary interaction and scientific discovery. By combining instructional and research spaces, the ISLL aims to stimulate excitement about science and engineering while preparing students for the challenges of the 21st-century workforce
