Welcome to Interdisciplinary Science Learning Laboratories (ISLL)
The Interdisciplinary Science Learning Laboratories (ISLL) at the University of Delaware take a cutting-edge approach to science education and research. Housed in the Patrick T. Harker Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Laboratory (Harker ISE Lab), this 194,000-square-foot facility embodies the University’s commitment to integrated teaching, learning and research.
Completed in 2013, the Harker ISE Lab was designed to foster collaboration and innovation across scientific disciplines, engaging students and faculty in a dynamic, problem-based learning environment. The facility features state-of-the-art classrooms, advanced research laboratories and flexible spaces that promote interdisciplinary interaction and discovery. By combining instructional and research spaces, ISLL aims to inspire enthusiasm for science and engineering while preparing students for the challenges of the 21st-century workforce.
