Where I’m From
Oman
Where I am
I completed the ELI’s Academic Transitions program & recently graduated from UD with a degree in Business Analytics.
Where I’m Going
I am ready to start my career in data analytics or a related field.
What are you most proud of since graduating from the ELI?
I’m proud of how much I’ve grown—both personally and academically—since my time at the ELI. It’s not just about getting good grades, but about everything I’ve experienced along the way. One moment that really stands out was my internship in New York City at the Oman Permanent Mission to the UN. It was such a unique opportunity to learn directly from ambassadors and be in a professional setting that felt so different from the classroom.
How did the ELI prepare you for university life and academics?
ELI gave me a strong foundation. The classes helped me feel more prepared and confident going into university, and the support I got from the teachers really made a difference. I still think about my leadership class with Dr. Tony Middlebrooks and Elizabeth O'Connor—it honestly changed me by pushing me out of my comfort zone in the best way. Ken Cranker also played a huge role in improving my writing, but more than that, he believed in me and helped me grow in other parts of life as well. I’ll never forget Scott Duarte, who always pushed me to give my best and bring out the strongest version of myself. There were so many great teachers at ELI, and each one played a part in helping me get to where I am now.
What are your current academic or career goals?
I just graduated this May and am hoping to start a career in data analytics or something tech related. I’m really interested in using data to solve real-world problems and tell stories that help people make smarter decisions. Long-term, I’d love to work on meaningful projects that create impact—whether it’s for businesses, communities, or even causes I care about.
Don’t hold back—get involved, speak up, and make the most of every moment, both in and out of the classroom. ELI is such a great space to grow—not just academically, but personally too. It’s okay to make mistakes, ask questions, and try new things. That’s how you learn.
