UD's Department of Communication has been named to the 2024 PRNews Education A-List, which recognizes the best college and university programs for training future public relations and communications professionals.

The undergraduate public relations concentration and online master's in strategic communication programs were honored.

The list represents the “most innovative higher learning institutions for PR and communications," according to Kaylee Hultgren, content director for the public relations services company.

“We are incredibly proud to be recognized by PRNEWS on the 2024 Education A-List. This esteemed award is a testament to the dedication and excellence of our faculty, students and staff," said Tara L. Smith, director of the strategic communication program.

"Being included among the best higher learning institutions for public relations and communications reflects our commitment to providing high-quality education that prepares our graduates to be leaders in the field of communication. We strive to uphold this honor by continuing to deliver exceptional and impactful learning experiences for our students," she continued.

This is the second year in a row that UD has been named to the Education A-List.

In addition to the two programs recognized by PR News, the department offers two research-based graduate degrees in communication and an undergraduate major with concentrations in media communication and interpersonal communication, as well as a number of minors.
