Lena attended the ELI in the first cohort of female students sent through Saudi Arabia's SABIC program. After graduating, she pursued a computer science degree at UD as well as founded the Saudi Student Association – the first ever UD club for Saudi Arabian students. -

Learning English Across Generations

This is the case with ELI alumna Emily Liu and her mother Lanzhu Liu; while Emily wanted to learn English to broaden her skillset for her career, her mom wanted to learn English to be able to travel in her retirement. The ELI met both goals.
