Bryn Hill
Biography
Bryn Hill (B.A., New York University, M.A., Rutgers University, PhD., Rutgers University) teaches courses in criminal justice, including all of the problems series courses required of criminal justice majors. Prior to joining the University of Delaware adjunct faculty, Bryn also taught a wide variety of criminal justice courses for both undergraduate and graduate students at Rutgers University-Newark, Rutgers University-Camden, and continues to teach online for Temple University. In her full-time position, Bryn serves as a Senior Research Associate with the CUNY Institute for State and Local Governance, working on research and data capacity building efforts that support policymakers, practitioners, and communities across the country. Her role supports the use of research and data to address social policy challenges equitably, transforming cultures, and designing effective and innovative solutions to real-world problems with law enforcement, court, and corrections partners across the country. She uses a lot of her real-world experience and expertise in her courses to bring engaging examples and important debates on the real-world challenges facing the criminal legal system in the 21st century. When she isn’t at work or teaching, Bryn has a passion for fitness – she is a certified Level 1 Crossfit coach and owns a local Crossfit gym in Delaware – and enjoys hiking, kayaking, and other outdoor activities with her husband, 3 stepchildren, and dog.
