The Master Players Concert Series—led with vision and creativity by University of Delaware Trustees Distinguished Professor of Music Sean Gao and his talented team—has become one of our campus’s most cherished traditions, bringing world-class artistry to our community year after year.

We are deeply grateful to the generous donors and members of the Master Players Advisory Council for their steadfast support. Their commitment and leadership make these extraordinary performances possible and enrich the cultural life of our university.

This season, Master Players will once again showcase remarkable musicians whose performances promise to inspire, uplift and connect us. Their artistry not only brings joy to audiences but also provides our students with invaluable opportunities to engage with the transformative power of music.

I look forward to joining you in celebrating another season of unforgettable performances.

Warm regards,

Letter from Master Players Advisory Council Chair and Director Mike Luck and Sean Gao

Dear friends in music,

Welcome to Master Players’ 2025–26 season!

After another sold-out year, our beloved series turns 22 this fall. Like a young adult stepping into the world, this new chapter is filled with adventure, discovery, and bold new beginnings.

This year we are proudly embracing musical innovation, uplifting rising artists, and fostering a safe, welcoming space for diverse voices. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our ticket buyers, Master Players has grown into a series that is resilient, sustainable, and ready for the future.

This season, we are thrilled to present Delaware debuts of world-renowned virtuosos alongside emerging talents—bringing the gold standard of the performing arts to our community. While we proudly present music, the universal language of the soul, our ticket prices remain among the most affordable in the region, with special student rates that help us cultivate the next generation of leaders here at UD.

On behalf of our Advisory Council and staff, we warmly invite you to join us, and share your ideas, energy, and passion. Together, let’s continue building a vibrant Master Players community—one concert, one connection, one unforgettable moment at a time.

With gratitude and anticipation,

Mike Luck, Chair of Master Players Advisory Council

Sean Gao, founding director and UD Trustees Distinguished Professor of Music
