About Master Players Concert Series
For more than two decades, the University of Delaware’s Master Players Concert Series (Master Players)—a flagship professional concert presenter in Delaware—has brought world-renowned musicians and innovative productions to the tri-state region.
As a unit of the UD College of Arts and Sciences and supported by Delaware Division of the Arts, private and corporate donors, and the Master Players Concert Series Advisory Council, Master Players presents mainstage concerts, cultural and outreach events, commissions new works, and develops cross-disciplinary productions that advance the future of live music. Its mission extends beyond performance to serve the entire University by strengthening UD’s visibility, cultivating the global UD community, supporting student and faculty recruitment, and offering meaningful opportunities for UD faculty and students to collaborate and network with leading professional artists.
Since 2004, Master Players has proudly collaborated with the UD School of Music* faculty and ensembles in concert tours and special events. Master Players also values partnerships with many other UD departments. Joint concerts have featured UD faculty choreographers, actors, writers, researchers, designers, and visual artists—giving the campus community a unique platform to share scholarship and artistry with public audiences.
Master Players’ concerts are produced by a dedicated team that oversees all aspects of a professional presenting organization, including marketing, branding, ticketing, artist management, production, audience experience, public safety, media relations, donor and alumni engagement, hospitality, and risk management.
*The UD School of Music, one of our closest partners on campus, also presents hundreds of concerts during the academic year showcasing the achievements of UD students and world-class faculty musicians. During the weekly faculty and student recitals and student ensemble concerts, the audience experience how UD’s dedicated music educators are inspiring the next generation of musicians.
