Biography

Sydney Wood, Ph.D. is an assistant professor with the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Delaware. Dr. Wood uses She/Her/Hers and They/Them/Theirs pronouns.

Wood specializes in teaching computational and research methods from an interdisciplinary social science framework with research collaborators in computer science, neurology, animal behavior, computational linguistics, and public health. Their research explores equitable teaching practices that promote student agency and efficacy. Wood is passionate about student engagement and advocacy with a strong track record of training undergraduate scientists in preparation for graduate school. She regularly teaches Social Psychology, Research Methods, and Statistics
