The Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science at the University of Delaware is an interdisciplinary program that explores the intricate workings of the human mind and language. It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, allowing students to delve into the fascinating realms of linguistics, psychology, neuroscience, computer science, and philosophy.

The department's mission is to unravel the mysteries of how we acquire, process, and utilize language, as well as to understand the cognitive processes that underlie our thoughts, perceptions, and behaviors. Through cutting-edge research and innovative teaching methods, students gain a comprehensive understanding of the complex interplay between language, cognition, and the brain.
