Edward Alexander Endowment
Following the passing of Edward P. Alexander in 2003, his family established the Edward P. Alexander Endowment to honor his lasting contributions to the museum field and his deep affection for the University of Delaware. This endowment was created to provide vital support for internships and professional development opportunities for students pursuing the Museum Studies Certificate.
In 2023, as the Museum Studies Program marked its 50th anniversary, we launched a special fundraising initiative to expand the Alexander Endowment. Our goal is to become the first program in the nation to guarantee fair-wage, paid internships for every student. With your support, we can continue this important work—empowering the next generation of museum professionals and upholding the legacy of Edward P. Alexander.
