Grant Assistance Program Case Study: Milton Art Crosswalks

PROJECT SYNOPSIS

The Town of Milton won three consecutive AARP Community Challenge Grants to install a total of 14 art crosswalks and two benches from 2022 to 2024. Spearheaded by Councilwoman Randi Meredith, these projects involved careful coordination between Town of Milton officials and staff, local artists, residents, volunteers, and the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT). The projects and grant applications resulted from over 5 years of planning and coordination work within the Town of Milton. This case study describes the project design and implementation.
