9:12 a.m., March 9, 2009----The Global Agenda 2009 series, titled “Tinderbox: Understanding the Middle East,” will continue with a presentation by Rami G. Khouri at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, in Mitchell Hall on the University of Delaware campus in Newark.
Khouri is director of the Issam Fares Institute of Public Policy and International Affairs at the American University of Beirut and is editor-at-large of Beirut's Daily Star newspaper. His topic will be “Understanding the Conflict.”
The Global Agenda series is sponsored by the University of Delaware and the World Affairs Council of Wilmington and is moderated by Ralph Begleiter, Edward and Elizabeth Goodman Rosenberg Professor of Communication and Distinguished Journalist in Residence at UD.
