5:25 p.m., March 1, 2011----The School of Nursing is offering a spring research lecture series featuring speakers discussing issues and contemporary topics surrounding health sciences and their roles in the world today.

The lectures will be held from 12:20-1:20 p.m. in Room 114 McDowell Hall and are open to all faculty and students.

Scheduled are

--Wednesday, March 9: Cancer Nursing: Discovering Risks and Mechanisms to Support Early Detection in Diverse Populations,” with Carolee Polek, associate professor of nursing;

--Wednesday, April 6: “Babies Gone Wild in Delaware: UD's Infant Mobility Project,” with James C. (Cole) Galloway, associate professor of physical therapy and director of the Infant Motor Behavior Lab; and

--Wednesday, May 4: "Failure to Launch: Pediatric Brain Tumor Survivors and Caregivers," with Thomas Hardie, associate professor of nursing at Drexel University and adjunct profssor of nursing at the University of Pennsylvania.
