FYI Stories

'Contactless' ONEcard

The UD ID card will be replaced by the ONEcard, which incorporates a chip and features a new technology initiative called "contactless," meaning the card can be placed near a reader device rather than swiped.

Food Bank boost

University of Delaware Parking Services' monthlong food drive program, in which motorists could make donations to pay parking citations, provided over 6,000 nonperishable food items to the Food Bank of Delaware.

Workshop topics include:

Works Beginners
Works Advanced (includes reporting)
UD Credit Card Functionality;
Egencia and UD Travel
Procurement Online (navigating the Procurement website)
Requisition to Check (a discussion of vendor payment process)
Timeline to Buy (the conversion of requisitions into purchase orders, addressing the new amendment webform)

All sessions will be offered two or three times throughout the 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. time slot to allow flexibility in scheduling.

“This information session will be an interactive time for our campus community to not only meet Procurement representatives and attend a variety of seminars but to ask questions of our staff and several of our current suppliers,” said Debra Reese, director of Procurement Services.

Those suppliers attending will include Digital Office Solutions, Dell, Fisher Scientific, OfficeMax, Egencia and Bank of America, along with UD service providers University Printing, University Dining Services, UD Bookstore and the UDeploy licensed software group.

Registration will remain open through April 8.
