The e-mail purports to come from help@udel.edu, or other similar addresses. The subject line says “Dear udel.edu User” and the body of the e-mail claims, “We have noticed an unauthorized attempt to change your udel.edu password from a foreign IP.”

IT reminds that the University of Delaware will never ask anyone to submit actual account information via e-mail and encourages users to delete the e-mail.

If you have any questions, contact the IT Help Center at [consult@udel.edu].
